Let the applications begin!

And what an application it is! After agreeing to nine different sets of terms and conditions, I logged into my account to see that there are 17 steps to the application, not including references, transcripts, and other required documents. Wow!

I read through the entire application and started some of the more straight-forward questions. Thankfully there is an option to save your responses and edit them at a later time (thank you, Canadian JET Program!). I have until November 30, 2012, to mail the application to the Embassy of Japan in Ottawa (~50 days) although I hope to have the application completed and mailed well in advance of that date.

Time to do some more research on the different prefectures of Japan!
